Boosterthon: October 15

Parents! We’re excited to host the 9-day Boosterthon Fun Run as this year’s fundraiser. We are raising funds to update classroom technology. We kick off the fun, healthy, and character-building program on October 6 with a student Pep Rally. Students will gather pledges for how many laps they’ll run at the Boosterthon Fun Run event, which is on Wednesday, October 15. Please help our school by connecting your student with sponsors. Thank you for your support!

Fall Festival: October 24, 4 - 7 p.m.

Join us for the Fall Festival Friday, October 24, 4 - 7 p.m. All the proceeds from this fun event go to our teachers to purchase items for their classrooms. New this year - kids can compete in the Dodge Ball arena and we'll have A Taste of Westchase with food from local restaurants. There will be plenty of games to play and prizes to win so don't miss out on this fun event.

Red Ribbon Week: October 27 - 31

Westchase Elementary is joining the Nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign to help promote healthy, drug and bully free lifestyles. Red Ribbon Week is about encouraging kids to be drug and bully free and make healthy choices. Westchase Elementary asks that students show their commitment to living a healthy life by wearing:

  • Red on Monday to “Kick off Red Ribbon Week”
  • Hats on Tuesday to “Put a cap on drugs and bullies”
  • Sunglasses on Wednesday to “Shade out drugs and bullies”
  • Wear your shirt backwards on Thursday “Turn your back on drugs and bullies”
  • Take home pledge on Friday to be bully and drug free
Red Ribbon Week is a chance to be visible and vocal in our desire for a drug-free community. Research shows that children are less likely to use alcohol, other drugs or bully others when parents and other role models are clear and consistent in their opposition to substance use and abuse.
